Hi, I'm Sean Hartman. I have over 20 years of experience in design and creative, with more than the last 15 of them in leadership roles.
I'm originally from Southern California where I fell in love with the skate, surf, and counter culture of beach cities. The vibrant graphics, unique branding, and bold spirit spoke to me. I eventually started designing promotional materials, packaging, and merchandise for the bands I was in, and ultimately, that's how I found my path.
After working for multiple agencies in SoCal, I moved to Orlando, FL in the early 2000s. I bounced around a couple of design and interactive firms in Orlando, but always had my mind set on starting my own agency. In 2004 I co-founded the design, branding, and interactive agency, SQUAREFACTOR. In the 10 years with SQUAREFACTOR we built the agency from a single client to a portfolio of big brands and agencies, including Disney, Nascar, Yahoo! and partnered with major agencies like CP+B and Firstborn.
After helping to build and grow the agency, I decided to move to an in-house team with Pearson Education in 2014. Since then I've been helping to guide brand and experience for online higher education programs with top-tier universities and building out our in-house creative agency.
In my free time, I enjoy playing guitar, watching live music, painting, photography, and spending time (preferably outdoors) with my wife, two sons, and our pup Tig. On most weekends you can find me at the beach.
